World Soccer

As the European soccer football championships wind down, the World Cup is gearing up. Contested this year in Germany, the cup will pit national teams against one another. This is an increasingly rare sight in top-level soccer, where elite athletes typically play on the best European league teams, not teams in their home towns or countries.
