Is that a mirror?

Because I'm seeing myself in this.

Really, the cold truth is that finding a well-paying and personally satisfying job is a bitch. Period.

Oof. That article hurts me. But here's something to consider: I was watching "Inside the Actor's Studio" a couple of weeks ago, with Morgan Freeman. One of the students in the audience asked him how he'd been able to persevere in his career, even when there were no jobs and times were tight. Freeman's response was unusual and interesting. Instead of trotting out the usual actorly tripe about believing in yourself and following your dreams, he said, "To be honest with you, I was lucky. Every time I was ready to quit, there was someone there who wouldn't let me, someone who told me I had to keep soldiering on." I thought, hey, you know, that's right. You gotta have those people in your life who won't let you quit, even when it seems like the sanest/most expedient/easiest thing to do. So: I'll be yours if you'll be mine!
