The Internet Is Great - Free Music Edition

This afternoon I used Twitter to post this:

tassava: Half-wishing I had some current music that I liked, but unashamedly enjoying some Smiths. "Warm summer days, indoors..."

A bit later, a Northfielder posted at me:

adam_gurno: @tassava: http://tinyurl.com/6p4aha Totally awesome, totally free music.

I dutifully checked it out (and am downloading right now) and then responded:

tassava: @adam_gurno Back atcha: http://www.bradsucks.net/

Simultaneously instant-messaging with a different friend, we added the great Tim Fite album, Over The Counterculture, and a bizarre collection of songs from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea to our list of free music. After a bit more hunting around, I dug Christopher O'Riley's jazz-piano covers of pop songs, out of my deli.cio.us account.

So there you have some music. All free and legal and good.

Forecast: Significant blowing and drifting, with the possibility of heavy accumulation in rural areas.
