Poetry in the Air

Poetry must be in the air today here in Northfield. (Perhaps the Malt o' Meal plant - which so often scents the municipal air with knockoff cereal odors - is producing a new variety today - Fulla Verse? Choco-Rhymes? Iambic Pentacrisp? )

First, Rob Hardy published an excellent new poem, "Memo Mori," on his blog. It's good stuff; read it.

Then, Julia made up a little poem of her own, entitled "Vivi, No."

Can I look at you?

No, not I.

For if I do, she's sure to cry.

Explains the poet: "It's because I can't look at VIvi - she's too grumpy!"

Forecast: Significant blowing and drifting, with the possibility of heavy accumulation in rural areas.
